Women's History Month Celebration
"Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination"
The 2013 theme, Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Lake County Women's Coalition will present a PowerPoint presentation highlighting women in STEM careers, nationally, locally and showcasing the women nominated by the coalition members.
Lise Eliot PhD, author of Pink Brain, Blue Brain and What’s Going On in There? will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Eliot is Associate Professor of Neuroscience at The Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science. Dr. Eliot lectures widely on children’s brain and mental development and lives in Lake Bluff. Her books will be available for purchase at the event.
